Success Stories

Brittney's Story

Brittney partnered with BCOC while finishing nursing school and raising a young family on a limited income. With rental assistance and gas cards, she earned her RN and secured a full-time job at Temple University Hospital, more than doubling her income. She’s now saving for a home and planning to pursue her BSN in 2025.

Joshua's Story

Joshua joined the ES program after experiencing homelessness and having no income or diploma. With support, he earned his GED, became forklift certified, and gained job skills. He now works full-time at a warehouse, has a bank account, stable housing, and plans to build his credit, get a driver’s license, and grow with his employer.

Alison's Story

Alison, a mother supporting three adult children, entered the program while working part-time and on public assistance. Through hard work, she secured full-time employment, earned a promotion, and became a Certified Peer Specialist. She no longer needs subsidies and now lives in a market-rate apartment, with plans to continue her education.

Dmytro's Story

Dmytro and his family came to the U.S. from Ukraine, facing language barriers and uncertainty. With support from BCOC, he completed a certification in Automation QA and secured a stable job, allowing his wife to pursue her education. Focused on building a future, Dmytro’s goals include buying a home and continuing to grow his career.
